Thereare variousreasonsI am interestedin a Sales Communication minorcoursenextsemester.Thesalesfunctionis mostlyignoreby people,despite thefactthatitis veryimportantto an organization.One featureabout careerpeoplein salesis thattheyare confident,outspokenanddeterminedfeaturesI greatlyadmire.Allorganizationshaveproductsorservicesthat theysell,andthisrequiressalespersonnel.Thecoursewould giveme an insightinto thesalesfunctionof an organizationandthecommunicationnetworksinvolved.

Asan internationalstudent,I havehadtheopportunityto workforBank of China. Theexperiencewasmindchangingas I managedto experiencefirst-hand whatittakesfora salesteamto bringin newclients.With the experience gained from the Bank, I have developed the salesinstinct which I can polish through the sales communication minorcourse to make me an excellent sale professional. I will have thechance to learn the communication tools important to enhance mycareer in this field. Some of the lessons i learnt was that, therehas to be properplanningon therightapproachto accesspotentialclients,followedby theprocessof informingthem of theproductsby thecompany.Itinvolvesa seriesof stepsthat onlyqualifiedsalesprofessionalscan understandandcarryout from conceptionto completion.Additionally, beinga partof thesalesteamis aninterestingcareeras itgivesonethechanceto interactandexchangeideawith peoplefrom variousbackgrounds.In future,I wantto be partof thissegmentof workerswithin an organizationsince suchinteractionswill improvemy outlookon life.Based on thesefactors,I would liketo requestforan opportunityto attendthesalescommunicationcourse.
