The efforts of knowledge management overlap theorganizational learning, and it may be differentiated from thatbecause management of knowledge can be used as a strategic asset aswell as a focus on encouraging sharing of knowledge.

The roleof Knowledge Management in companies is to encourage sharing ofinformation freely and interaction of people within the companies.
