Toeffectively manage the risks in the project implementation process,arrangement of the team is essential as a management function. Themost appropriate arrangement will enable the team to manage risks bydifferentiating the high probability and high impact risks from thelow probability and low impact risks. To do this, I would organizethe team members in terms of experience and area of expertise.According to Marchewka(2009), teamworkin project implementation will create a synergy of expertise so as toexplore and expose all possible risks for every activity.

Afterorganizing the teams of experts, I would allocate each of the team ofexperts to all the activities in the project. The main task for eachof the teams will be to examine the risks of every activity fromprofessional points of analysis. In the project implementation, thepeople with high expertise and specialization in an area will beteamed up (Marchewka,2009).By understanding the risks of every activity, it will be possible toanalyze and sort the risks in terms of high and low possibilities.Therefore, the teams will integrate to form a management group thatwill differentiate the high probability and high impact risks fromthe low probability and low impact risks.


Thecommunication strategy that I would adopt when communicating tocustomers is specific communication strategy. According to Marchewka(2009), thisis because the project implementation involves several processes thatinvolve a number of stakeholders. This means that each stakeholderrequires specific message that is sometimes different from others.For instance, communication with customers will require specificmessages sent to them at certain times during the projectimplementation. Therefore, specific communication will target certainstakeholders with detailed, precise, and concrete messages. Thefrequency of the communication will be according to the speed of theproject management. Therefore, the times that frequency of messagesmade to customers will be made both as a scheduled and ad-hoccommunication.

Toensure that all the stakeholders are informed in the communication, Iwould carry regular evaluation of the process. The evaluation wouldinvolve an element of feedback in every communication process. Thiswill be implemented by including a feedback requirement for everymessage that is communicated to all the stakeholders. Receivingfeedback would translate into effective communication process whilelack of feedback will signal inconsistencies.


Duringthe Projecttermination,the final meeting with stakeholders is essential in the creation of asense of successful closure. To ensure an effective acceptancemeeting, I would prepare, write ups of the entire project, andsummarized in detail and concrete reports. While the stakeholdershave the reports, I would orally present the processes of the projectand the challenges faced. At that juncture, I would explain in detailthe strategies that my team implemented to achieve the success of theproject. According to Kloppenborg(2011), thiswill create an environment of appreciation of the team’s effortsand cultivate a sense of acceptance of the project.

Inaddition, I would allow the members of the stakeholders in themeeting to ask all the questions, which I would answercomprehensively. I will also allow the team members with differentexpertise to answer the questions. Moreover, I will dissolve the teaminvolved I the project and ensure they are fully remunerated. Thiswill allow them time to learn, relax and prepare for the nextproject.
